Quality control

Symbio Polska closely monitors every step of the production process to ensure that quality is maintained from planting of the seeds and starter plants to delivery of the finished products to our customers. All seeds and starter plants are obtained from reliable sources, and are certified organic whenever such seeds and starter plants are available. Symbio provides its growers with field support via its trained agronomists and Poland's developing agricultural extension service (WODR). The main freezing facility which Symbio utilizes, Fruktosad, has implemented HACCP.

Production area

Symbio Polska's main production area is located throughout southeastern Poland. Most of Symbio's farms are located in the buffer zones of landscape and national parks in this beautiful and relatively unspoiled region of Poland (and Europe).
Traceability

Symbio Polska traces its full vegetable production from individual farms (and from small producer groups) to the final customers. The company is currently instituting such a program for its soft fruits, and is thus able to begin offering traceability to its soft fruit customers.

Product testing

Symbio Polska currently tests random samples of its products and soil for a wide variety of forbidden chemical substances such as pesticides and artificial fertilizers. Symbio is in the process of developing a comprehensive pesticide testing program for its full fruit, vegetable, herb, and grain production. The company is willing to work with its customers to develop individualised testing systems based on individual customer needs.

HACCP

Symbio Polska's main freezing facility partner, Fruktosad, has implemented HACCP. Symbio will also seek HACCP from all of its processing partners, such as juice processors and freeze-drying facilities.
