Mr. Tokya E. Dammond is an American and Swiss citizen who first moved to Poland in 1992 to assist in the development of the country's organic agricultural industry. He graduated in 1990 with a B.S. Degree in Rural Sociology and International Development from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Concerned with international development issues, especially rural development, as well as with environmentally sound agricultural practices, he formed Symbio Impex Corp, based in the United States, and Symbio Impex Polska, based in Krakow, Poland. The companies' primary business was to serve the Polish organic farmers by pooling their production, bringing it to market, and linking them to technical information and expertise. In 1998, together with Artur Tyminski and venture capital fund, Caresbac-Polska S.A., he formed the presently operating Symbio Polska Sp. z o.o., referred to throughout this site as Symbio Polska. Mr. Dammond speaks native English, near-fluent French, and conversational Polish.
Mr. Artur Tyminski, a Polish native, formed Symbio Polska together with Tokya Dammond and Caresbac-Polska in 1998. Mr. Tyminski received a Masters Degree in Agriculture from Lublin University in 1989. While a student, he completed several internships with the Agricultural Extension Service (WODR) in Kielce. After graduation, he worked on several family farms, both in Poland and in the U.K. In the early 1990's, Artur went to New York where he received a Certificate in International Business and Finance from New York University as well as a Certificate in Marketing and Advertising from Baruch College. While in New York, he worked as Marketing Manager for ArtGlobe Trading Company as well as a Sales Specialist for D.F. King & Co. Artur speaks native Polish and fluent English.
