Tokya E. Dammond, President and Founder of Symbio Impex Corp. (USA 1994), formed Symbio Impex in 1994. The company was formed in order to source organic foods by contracting the production and processing of a wide variety organic fruits and vegetables from carefully selected growers.

Symbio secures products by working closely with an international team of organic/fair trade partners to recruit, train and contracting farmers, obtaining organic certification, overseeing all pre-processing and processing to customer specifications.
